Next Gen Hockey Training

Coach Michael Marquez
My desire to help the next generation has been a burning fire I’ve always had. I’ve always wanted to be a helping hand in bringing up the next wave of hockey players. My journey within hockey has allowed me to learn many skills and techniques I believe make the difference in any player's game to help them to the next level. The game has evolved into a tricky landscape where I believe I can be that helping hand guiding players into the success they want to achieve. My dedication for teaching the players isn’t what separates me from my competition but it’s simply my passion.

"Next Gen Hockey has impacted my game offensively greatly. My sophomore year I broke my collarbone which cut my season short. Freshman year before that I had only racked up a few goals throughout the season. Then summer of sophomore year I started training with Next Gen Hockey. After spending all summer doing off ice and on ice workouts I went into my junior year season. Junior year I was captain of my schools varsity team and led my team in points. Michael has really helped me go from a pass first player to an all around player. I don't know how my season would've gone if it weren't for him."

"I’ve been working with Michael at Next Gen for a while now, and it’s helped me tremendously. Not just my skill and speed , but the mental side of the game as well. At Next Gen I’ve been able to be in an environment of competition and development allowing me to grow as a player."

"I’ve been skating and shooting with Michael since I was a freshman in High school and now I’m a senior. Time flies while I work with him. Michael really help me learn that “form” will beat “power” anytime and that form on skating, shooting and speed training is very important. I owe my improved speed and skating ability to Michael and all the hard work he has help me with. I have improved so much as a player. I can’t recommend Michael enough but I owe a huge part of my success with hockey to him. I would totally recommend going to him if you need help with hockey or want to improve and play higher level hockey as you grow up.”
